Graduate Degrees

Thank you for your interest in a graduate program in Political Science. We are pleased to share information with you about our M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Political Science at Arizona State University.  Both are designed to provide a well-grounded foundation in research methods and substantive content along with the opportunity to craft a program of study that meets individual interests. We have particular strength in campaigns and elections, ethnic and religious conflict, women and politics, and human rights. Our diverse and distinguished faculty has strong commitments to excellence in research, teaching, and working with our graduate students. The program offers one of the best student to faculty ratios in the nation, approximately 2:1.

Our program also encourages students to study and work with faculty in other disciplines. Many of our faculty work at the juncture of politics with history, public policy, law, philosophy, and sociology.

Please note that we have a fall-entry only admission cycle.  Applications for the following fall will be due on January 2 of each year.  Please review the application information available on the ASU Graduate Admission’s website for information on admission procedures. If you have any questions, please contact our Graduate Coordinator, Jenna Roelle, at Jenna.Roelle@asu.edu. Thank you again for your interest in our programs and we look forward to speaking with you soon!
